Cyclist suffers life-threatening injuries in crash

A teenaged cyclist is in hospital with life-threatening injuries following a serious collision with a car.

It happened in Airport Road, in Hengrove, Bristol, at 23:11 GMT on Friday. The cyclist was taken to hospital while the driver of the car was uninjured.

Officers closed the road while emergency services responded, but it has since reopened.

Avon and Somerset Police appealed for anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash cam footage to contact the force.
