Motorcyclist dies after lorry crash

A motorcyclist in his 50s has died after a crash with a lorry.

Police were called to the A37 near Shepton Mallet, Somerset, shortly before 08:00 GMT on Friday.

Avon and Somerset Police said the man died at the scene, close to the junction with with the A367, despite the efforts of emergency services.

The driver of the lorry was also treated by paramedics but did not sustain any serious injuries, police added.

Police have asked anyone with any information about the incident, including dashcam footage, to contact them.
