A man was assaulted in Oxford Street in Weston-super-Mare on Friday night, police said

Three teenagers have been charged after a man was assaulted and left with puncture wounds to his arm.

Avon and Somerset Police said the victim was attacked in Oxford Street, in Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset, at about 23:40 GMT on Friday.

Jo Junior Martin, 18, of Laira Bridge Road in Plymouth, has been charged with wounding with intent; Nathaniel Ashman-Stanislaus, 18, of Frenchay Road in Weston-super-Mare, has been charged with affray; and a 17-year-old boy who cannot be named because of his age has been charged with wounding with intent and possession of a bladed article.

The defendants are set to appear at North Somerset Magistrates' Court later.

The victim was taken to hospital after the incident, but has since been discharged, police said.
