Four bailed after city protest arrests
BBCFour people arrested at a protest on Saturday have been released on police bail.
Avon and Somerset made six arrests at a march and counter protest in Bristol that saw items thrown at officers.
In a statement, place said that "of those six, four have been released on police bail and enquiries are ongoing".
"A man in his thirties arrested on suspicion of section 4 of the Public Order Act 1986 has been released without further action and a 27-year-old woman was de-arrested and will be dealt with at a later date," they added.
The march was organised by a group called Bristol Patriots, whose website says it aims to "Get Starmer Out and stop the boats". About 40 members attended and were met by around 200 counter-protesters.
Police said they had to use "proportionate force" to ensure safety and to keep the groups apart, which included using batons and horses.
Officers from Wiltshire Police, Gloucestershire Constabulary, and Devon & Cornwall Police came to assist.
