Bristol Water says a large burst main is impacting customers

Thousands of households in Bristol are without water or facing low pressure following a large burst main.

The junction of Hengrove Way and Hawkfield Road, in Hartcliffe, is closed while Bristol Water crews work to fix the "significant" problem. The outage - which was first reported on Friday morning - is impacting about 2,600 customers in the BS4 and BS14 areas, according to the company.

Bottled water will be delivered to vulnerable customers and a station where people can collect drinking water is open near the old Cineworld on Hengrove Way until 22:00 GMT.

A spokesperson for Bristol Water apologised for the disruption to customers, but said "good progress" was being made on the repair.
