Two road closures will be in place near a city centre for much of this week, after a "dangerous" manhole collapse and other emergency works.

Corn Hill, in Wolverhampton, is expected to be shut until 15:00 GMT after the manhole cover fell in, on the junction near the railway station, Wolverhampton City Council said.

A diversion is in place in both directions, via Sun Street, Wednesfield Road, Ring Road and Horseley Fields, and vice versa.

A closure is also in place on Cable Street, outside unit four, for more emergency works by Severn Trent. A diversion is in place via Bilston Road, Dixon Street, Major Street, and Steelhouse Lane.
