Water pipe fixed after burst causes sinkhole
BBCA broken water pipe that caused a sinkhole in Leicester has been repaired, a water company has said.
Victoria Road East was closed on Monday after leaking water caused cracks to appear in the road surface.
On Tuesday, Severn Trent said the repair work had been "more complex than first hoped" but the burst pipe had been fixed.
It is now focusing "on making the road safe again" and apologised for the disruption.
A spokesperson for Severn Trent said: "We're working as quickly as we can to get the area fully back to normal with the road reopened as soon as possible.
"We'd like to thank everyone for their continued patience."
