A road in Leicestershire that was forced to close due to a burst water pipe is set to reopen following repairs.

Leicestershire Police closed Vaughan Street, in Coalville, on Monday after a water pipe under the road burst.

Severn Trent said the leak was fixed on Tuesday and that the plan was to open the road by the end of Thursday.

"We are working as quickly as possible to do this and thank everyone for their patience while these emergency repairs have been taking place," a Severn Trent spokesperson said.
