Residents in Wolverhampton are being encouraged to find out about adult education courses in the city at open days being held next week.

Every year thousands of people take classes and there is a "wide range" of courses, including English, maths, health and social care, computer and digital skills and cake decorating, the council says

The open days with Adult Education Wolverhampton course information will take place at the City Learning Quarter in Foyer Building on Old Hall Street on Wednesday from 10:00 GMT and Thursday next week from 14:00.

People can go on "the path to further study, employment, a new job, a promotion or better health and wellbeing", the council adds.

Chris Burden, cabinet member for city development, jobs and skills, said staff would be available "to help guide you onto a programme of study to help you take the next step".

Courses also include childcare and teaching, arts crafts and creative media and floristry.

People can get information and advice by contacting the Student Services team.
