Walker captures 'significant' cliff collapse
A walker has captured a "significant" cliff fall that has prompted warning for people to stay away from "unstable cliffs".
The collapse happened at Lower Beach in Barton on Sea at about 16:00 GMT on the 28 December.
New Forest District Council said their coastal team is on site to assess the situation and confirmed there are "no reports of any injuries".
The authorities are urging people to "keep well back from cliff edges and the base of cliffs, do not move or climb over barriers, and follow any safety signage in place."
The walker, known on social media as musikandnoiz said it is a "regular walk" and since the collapse they have "seen people still walking on that section".
He said: "It is obvious someone has pulled one of the fence panels back to walk that path."
"It shows the scale of ongoing coastal erosion here," he added.
