Watch: Police officer clings to side of reversing car
A man who reversed and crashed a car while a police officer hung on to the side has been jailed.
Jozef Zielinski, 33, of Arboretum Place, Barking, east London, was sentenced to four years for drug dealing, driving and assault offences at Ipswich Crown Court.
Dashcam footage, released by Suffolk Police, showed officer Owen Turner hanging on to the side of the vehicle as Zielinski reversed it following a stop by officers in Sudbury in November.
PC Turner, who only suffered minor injuries, said: "I conduct vehicle stops daily and what I thought would be a simple stop left me thinking that I might die and that my colleague and friend was either seriously injured or dead."
