Geordie hiker turns content into full-time job
Scott Gillan and Steph Robinson both started outdoors-focused Instagram accounts documenting their desire to escape office life during their free time.
This happened before they met, but the couple bonded over their shared passion and the accounts have blown up, amassing hundreds of thousands of followers.
Gillan uses his profile, Geordieramblers, as a hobby to share walks and scenery he loves, while Robinson, with her account Geordie_hiker, has monetised her postings.
Along with other freelance work this has allowed her to quit her nine-to-five job to run her social media channels full time.
Alongside their individual accounts, the duo run a joint venture called Tyne To Summit which organises community events to raise money for local charities.
