A derelict building has partially collapsed in the centre of Leeds.

Emergency services were called to Kirkgate, near to the junction with Harper Street, shortly after 16:00 BST on Friday, West Yorkshire Police said.

A number of roads were closed and members of the public were asked to avoid the area while a search and rescue team assessed the site.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue left the scene shortly before 19:00 saying "no casualties were found".
