Arrest after motorbike rider killed in collision

A motorcycle rider has been killed in a collision with a vehicle in Surrey.

Police were called to Longcross Road in Chertsey at 06:00 GMT on Tuesday after reports of a crash outside the Old School Café.

The motorcycle rider, who was in his 30s and from the town, died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

A 35-year-old man from Chertsey has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by driving without due care and attention.

Longcross Road is closed between Kitsmead Lane and Lyne Lane.

Surrey Police is asking anyone who was in the area between 05:50 and 06:05, or has dash cam, mobile phone or helmet cam footage, to get in contact.
