Baby taken to hospital after hit-and-run

A woman in her 20s and a baby have been taken to hospital as a precaution following a hit and run incident.

Surrey Police said a white van failed to stop after a crash on the A22 Godstone Road in Whyteleafe at around 06:45 GMT on Tuesday.

The woman and baby, both pedestrians, were treated at the scene, the force said.

Officers have urged anyone with information that could assist their investigation to come forward.
