The body of a man has been found outside a property in Guildford.

Surrey Police were called to Hazel Avenue just after 07:15 GMT on Friday by a member of the public who had discovered the body.

The man is believed to have been aged between 20 and 50, police say, and officers are trying to establish his identity and the circumstances surrounding his death.

Hazel Avenue remains closed between the junction with Lime Grove and Willow Way. The force expects this area to remain shut for some time.
