Road shut after car and motorbike collision

A road has been closed following a "serious collision" involving a car and motorbike.

Nottinghamshire Police said Chilwell Lane in Bramcote was closed following the collision which happened at about 10:10 BST on Sunday.

The road was expected to remain shut for "some time", police said. Motorists have been advised to avoid the area and take an alternate route if possible.

Inquiries into the full circumstances of the collision are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police.
