Fight outside school linked to armed attack
GoogleTwo men have been arrested following two street disturbances in Nottinghamshire.
Officers were called to Bramcote College, in Moor Lane, Bramcote, at 15:05 GMT on Thursday following reports of an altercation between two groups but no injuries or weapons were involved.
Police were then called to Park Avenue, Radford, at about 20:00 to reports two people had been assaulted by men carrying bats.
Two men, 41 and 44, have been arrested on suspicion of affray and officers say they believe the two incidents are linked.
A number of people were spoken to outside Bramcote College and those present quickly dispersed, Nottinghamshire Police said.
The force also confirmed despite the use of bats in the second attack, no-one was seriously injured.
Supt James Woolley said: "We are aware of a number of online rumours about weapons being involved in the incident at the college but we do not believe that was the case.
"Neighbourhood teams will be in the area over the coming days and anyone with concerns should approach an officer.
"Police teams are continuing to investigate both incidents and any witnesses, or those with information or relevant footage, should get in touch without delay."
