Ferry services have resumed after gale force winds caused cancellations

Ferry services between the Isle of Man and the north-west of England have resumed after gale force winds caused cancellations.

All of Sunday's ferry services were called off due to the conditions, however, the 01:30 GMT Manxman service from Liverpool went ahead on Monday.

The 08:00 service to Heysham also departed as scheduled.

Meanwhile, the A18 Mountain Road reopened on Sunday after it was shut on Friday night due to black ice.
