Ferries resume after overnight weather disruption
BBCFerry sailings between the Isle of Man and Lancashire have resumed after overnight disruption due to strong winds.
The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company's flagship vessel, the Manxman, departed Douglas for Heysham as scheduled at 07:50 GMT.
The island was hit by gusts of up to 50mph (80km/h) overnight, however forecasters said the winds were due to ease as the morning went on.
Wholesaler GE Whites confirmed, due to Tuesday evening's disruption to sailings, there would be no daily newspapers available on the island on Wednesday.
