A cash machine has been stolen following a ram-raid incident which has destroyed a convenience store's front shutter.

Cambridgeshire Police were called at 02:50 BST about the raid at Morrisons on Gunthorpe Road, Peterborough.

A spokesperson said "suspects made off with a cash machine" and no arrests had been made yet.

Officers and a forensics team remained at the scene with a police tape around the building - which also has a separate hair salon which has remained open for business.
