A body found after a swimmer went missing at sea last month has been formally identified as father-of-two Matt McDavid.

Mr McDavid, 42, from Leeds, dropped out of sight from the shore while swimming off the coast at Flamborough on 30 July.

A body was found at Tunstall beach in Holderness, East Yorkshire, at about 17:30 BST on 21 August.

At the time, Humberside Police said it was "believed to be linked to reports of a concern for safety at Thornwick Bay in Flamborough", and the force says it has now been formally identified.
