Further homes earmarked near existing house scheme
GoogleUp to 50 new houses could be built near a separate large-scale development in West Yorkshire.
The two, three and four-bedroom properties would be located in Tyersal, between Leeds and Bradford, and close to 270 other new homes that are "almost complete", according to a planning consultant report.
An outline planning application, which asks for permission to build in principle, has been submitted to Leeds City Council, with a public consultation on the scheme running until 5 March.
Consultants ID Planning said the site, between Tyersal Lane and Sutton Road, is on land already earmarked for housing and would help meet the local authority's five-year plan for new homes.
People due to live in the larger nearby development, managed by Gleeson Homes, had been made aware that nearby land was also allocated for housing, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.
ID Planning's report said: "Residents would have further opportunity to comment upon the scale, layout, appearance, internal access and landscaping through the reserved matters process."
