Bridge to close to vehicles for investigation work
Shropshire CouncilA bridge is scheduled to be closed to vehicles for up to two days while work is carried out.
Buildwas Bridge, which carries the A4169 over the River Severn near Buildwas, Shropshire, will be shut between 09:30 and 16:00 GMT from Monday.
The closure is being put in place to allow for investigation work to be done safely, Shropshire Council said, but it will remain open for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
The authority confirmed access to homes and other properties "up to the bridge" will also be maintained throughout the closure.
"We appreciate that this may cause some disruption to the local community and thank people for their patience and understanding," a spokesperson added.
