Police appeal after man and woman die in crash

A man and a woman have died in a crash in Shropshire.

The two people, who were in their 70s, died at the scene of the crash, which involved a silver Volvo XC60 on the B4380 at about 15:30 GMT on Saturday.

The car was travelling between the junction for Park View and the junction with the A4169 in the Buildwas area.

West Mercia Police has appealed for witnesses.

Sgt Nathan Johnson said the force's thoughts were "with the loved ones of those who have died" and they were being supported by specialist officers.

He added: "We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision and from drivers who may have dashcam footage from around the time it happened."
