Views sought for city's high streets project
Hull City CouncilResidents have been asked to share their views on how to spend £6m on some of Hull's high streets.
The Community High Streets Programme would enhance the city's areas, increase footfall and reduce shop vacancy rates, Hull City Council said.
Phase two of the scheme will begin next week, with a series of public engagement events asking for feedback on four areas.
Councillor Ted Dolman said: "This project demonstrates the council's commitment to investment in our high streets and making Hull a better place to live, work and visit."
The second phase covers Elmbridge Parade, Endike Lane, Goodwin Parade and The Quadrant.
Residents and business owners have been invited to share their thoughts on future plans for each area at the following events:
- Goodwin Parade: Goodwin Trust Hub, The Octagon, Walker Street, on 18 March from 13:00 until 15:00 GMT and 15 April, 10:00 until 12:00
- Endike Lane: Unity in Community Hub on 19 March, 09:00 until 11:30
- The Quadrant: Eternal Benefits on 23 March from 10:00 until 13:00
Engagement for Elmbridge Parade had already been completed, the council said.
The public consultation will launch on Monday and will be open for six weeks.
Phase three of the project will focus on Dalsetter Rise, Spring Bank, Anlaby Road, Sibelius Road and Bethune Avenue.
The feedback events for phase one of the project, which focused on other neighbourhoods, were held at the end of 2025.
