More A63 overnight closures announced
Baxter MediaNational Highways has announced more overnight closures of the A63 in Hull City Centre.
Work started in 2020 on the £355m Castle Street project in Hull to build a new split-level junction at Mytongate, which involves lowering part of the busy road through an underpass.
The road will be closed in both directions overnight from 20:00 to 06:00 GMT from Monday 16 February until the end of March to complete lighting, paving and planting works, as well as to install technology, the highways authority said.
It said the closures had put in place as it "moves towards the scheme completion".
National Highways said previously announced closures planned for Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 February were "not required".
The highways authority said it apologised for any disruption during "this complex phase of the scheme".
It said the eastbound carriageway would remain open until 22:30 GMT on Thursday 19 February to accommodate the Hull KR fixture at the MKM Stadium.
It urged those leaving the stadium to exit the city westbound from Rawling Way and other A63 westbound entry slip roads.
The work was due to finish by April 2025, but that was delayed by a year due to "extremely challenging ground conditions", National Highways said.
