Overturned cattle lorry closes section of A421

The road was closed for several hours on Tuesday morning

A busy Bedfordshire dual-carriageway was partially closed for several hours after a lorry transporting cattle overturned.

The eastbound A421 was shut from the M1 junction 13 at Brogborough to the A6 bypass near Kempston at about 09:30 GMT.

Police and the fire service attended the scene along with National Highways traffic officers.

The road reopened at about 13:10.
