A young cow had to be rescued after getting stuck up to its shoulders in mud.

Specialist firefighters were called to help the Hereford cross cow in Bordon on Saturday at 15:30 GMT.

An on-call crew from Liphook and animal rescue teams from Overton and Winchester used strops to pull and lift the animal to safety.

Following the unplanned mud bath, the mucky cow was returned to her owner shortly before 17:00.
