Pedestrian in her 80s dies in road collision

An elderly pedestrian has died following a crash in the Cotswolds.

Emergency services were called to Arlington Pike, in Bibury, Gloucestershire, just before 12:10 GMT following a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a car.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family have been told and are being supported by specially trained officers.

The driver of the car, a man also in his 80s, was taken Great Western Hospital in Swindon to be assessed.

Gloucestershire Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has any relevant dashcam footage to get in touch.
