One arrested after man found dead in city house

Police investigating the death of a man in Peterborough have arrested a 37-year-old on suspicion of murder.

Emergency services were called just before 11:00 BST on Wednesday to reports of a man found unconscious at a property in Gladstone Street, in the city's Millfield area. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

One man from Stowmarket, in Suffolk, was arrested on Thursday in Stowmarket on suspicion of murder.

He remains in police custody.

Det Ch Insp Matt Inwood said: "I understand this is likely to be concerning for residents.

"We are keen to hear from anyone who may have any information relevant to this investigation.

"Our thoughts are with the man's family and friends at this time and specialist officers are being appointed to support them."
