Heroin and trainers worth £2k found in drugs raid
Cambridgeshire PoliceA drug dealer who was found with crack cocaine, heroin and designer trainers worth £2,000 has been jailed for 12 months.
Hamilton De Jesus, 27, was in bed when officers conducted a warrant at his home in Orton Goldhay, Peterborough, on 21 October.
A large cling film bundle containing 15 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin in a black gilet was found, alongside a pair of Louis Vuitton trainers with a receipt for £2,220. A small amount of cannabis and £1,310 in cash were also recovered at his home.
De Jesus was jailed at Peterborough Crown Court on Monday, after admitting possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin, as well as possessing criminal property and possession of cannabis.
Cambridgeshire PoliceDC Hannah Moore said: "De Jesus was selling class A drugs and making enough from it to pay more than £2,000 for a pair of trainers.
"Class A substances like crack cocaine and heroin cause havoc by trapping people in addiction. This often has a knock-on effect, fuelling crimes such as theft, burglary and anti-social behaviour.
"We're working hard to bring drug dealers before the courts as we aim to make our communities even safer."
