Two men who were arrested after a teenager was injured in a Leicester park have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Leicestershire Police said a 17-year-old was taken to hospital on Tuesday following a report of males with "bladed weapons" in Western Park.

The injured boy has since been discharged but overnight on Friday, police carried out operations in two locations in a bid to make further arrests, including deploying armed police in Bath Lane.

The two men, aged 28 and 30, were arrested on suspicion of affray and have now been bailed.

Searches were ongoing in the area of Bath Lane on Sunday, including in the nearby water.

Police divers are assisting in the search for items to assist with the investigation, Leicestershire Police added.

Two 17-year-old males, also arrested on suspicion of affray, were released on bail earlier this week.
