Plans for up to 135 homes on former hospital site
GooglePlans have been lodged for up to 135 homes on a former hospital site in Derby.
Homes England has submitted an outline planning application to Derby City Council for houses and flats on land east of Kingsway Boulevard, on a site currently leased to the NHS as a temporary car park.
According to planning documents, the proposed development would be the final stage of the Manor Kingsway development and consist of 700 homes when complete.
The proposals for the land, once home to the Kingsway Hospital, would be "highly sustainable" and regenerate a brownfield site, the applicant said.
The site was leased to the NHS for a temporary car park while University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust built a multi-storey car park at Royal Derby Hospital, according to the plans.
Buildings on the site would range from one to five storeys, with 30% of the proposed homes classed as affordable.
