Appeal after man injured in glass attack at pub
Getty ImagesPolice have launched an appeal for information after a "violent and unprovoked attack" at a pub in Derby.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was hit on the head with a glass and sustained "significant facial injuries" at the Masons Arms in Etwall Road, Mickleover, on 18 October, officers said.
In an appeal issued on Monday, the force said the victim had accidentally bumped into a man at the pub, spilling his drink, and then was followed into the toilets by him and another man, where he was attacked.
A 26-year-old man was arrested "in connection with the incident" and released while inquiries continue, Derbyshire Police said.
The force said it had carried out "extensive inquiries into this violent and unprovoked attack", which was not captured on CCTV footage, adding that officers were now turning to the public for help.
The two men who followed the victim into the toilets have been described as white, with one in his late 40s to early 50s and about 5ft 10in, with the other described and being in his late 20s and about 5ft 8in.
