The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for snow across parts of the East of England.

It covers Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk, and is in place from 10:00 to 16:00 BST.

Forecasters said rain moving eastwards through Sunday morning was likely to turn increasingly to sleet and snow.

They said it should clear away late in the afternoon.

The Met Office said people should be prepared for possible road closures or delays to public transport.

"Snowy, wintry weather can cause delays and make driving conditions dangerous," it wrote.

"Keep yourself and others safe by planning your route, giving yourself extra time for your journey. Check for road closures or delays to public transport and amend plans if necessary."
