Club provides dance spot for people with dementia
A club in Norfolk is giving its members who have dementia or are just socially isolated a place to exercise their minds and bodies.
The Great Yarmouth & Gorleston Memory Club offers lunch, a quiz and a chance to chat with others who might be experiencing memory loss or just want somewhere to socialise.
Sandra Edmonds has been running the club for more than 20 years. She said attendees have "a lot of fun, and a lot of laughter".
Jenny Haylett, the club's volunteer DJ, said music was "very important... because, they remember. They hear a song, and they can remember the words".
The Memory Club meets in Scratby on Mondays and in Gorleston on Wednesdays.
