Villagers 'relieved' that pub cannot be demolished

Villagers have expressed their relief after a historic pub was saved from demolition following a High Court ruling.

South Norfolk Council pursued legal action after the owner of The King's Head pub in Pulham St Mary stated his intention to demolish the building.

Graham Scott declined to speak to the BBC but council leader Daniel Elmer described the former King's Head as a "valuable asset".

Villagers agreed, with one saying she felt "very relieved" by the decision.
