Plane and firetruck removed from runway after LaGuardia crash
Much of the wreckage remained on the tarmac days after the 22 March crash, blocking access to one of two runways at one of the country's busiest airports. The incident killed the two pilots and injured 41 people who were taken to hospital. LaGuardia was shut down for hours with both runways now being cleared for use. An investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board is underway.
