Watch: Lowrider cars bounce onto US stamps
Lowriders, custom vehicles that hop up and down using hydraulics, are getting their own US Postal stamp with the unveiling of a new series on 13 March that features five different models.
The dazzling paint, glistening chrome, luxurious interiors and gravity-defying hydraulic systems that are synonymous with lowriders are now part of mainstream car culture in the US and internationally.
According to the USPS website, the stamps celebrate a culture that "originated in the working-class Mexican American/Chicano communities throughout the American Southwest".
