Sinkhole appears outside Gloucester primary school
BBCA large sinkhole has appeared outside a primary school in Gloucester.
It was reported part of the road had collapsed near Hatherley Infant School on Vicarage Road after a car accidentally drove over it and sank.
A road closure is in place while Severn Trent investigates if the hole is related to its water network.
Customer waste network lead David Heaven apologised for any disruption and promised to prioritise repairs if issues with its network are found.
"Our teams remain on-site in Vicarage Road, investigating the cause of a sink hole to understand if it's related to the Severn Trent network," said Mr Heaven.
"To do this safely, barriers and a road closure are in place for the safety of our teams and others.
"We are sorry for any disruption, and if any issues are found to be on our network it will be our priority to get everything repaired and back to normal as quickly as possible," he added.
