Man, 55, and teenager arrested after firearm alert

Armed police were called to Argyll Mews in Worthing

A 55-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of being in possession of an unlawfully held firearm after armed police were called to a property.

At about 18:00 GMT on Wednesday, Sussex Police received a report of a man with a suspected firearm outside a property in Argyll Mews, Worthing.

The pair, who are both from Worthing, remain in custody.

Sussex Police is urging anyone with relevant information, including CCTV, doorbell or dash cam footage, to contact them.
