Three charged with murder over fatal stabbing

Three people have been charged with murder after a man died following a suspected stabbing in Market Rasen.

Danny Fowler, 37, from Newtoft, died from multiple stab wounds after an incident in Union Street at about 17:10 GMT on Thursday, according to Lincolnshire Police.

Ryan Townhill, 29, of no fixed address, Martin Doocey, 55, of Waverley Court, Queen Street, Market Rasen, and Shannon Doocey, 31, of Mill Street, Market Rasen, had all been charged with Fowler's murder, a force spokesperson said.

All three were remanded in custody and were due to appear before Lincoln Magistrates' Court on Monday, they added.

The police spokesperson said that Shannon Doocey had also been charged with having an offensive weapon in a public place and Townhill was additionally charged with having a bladed article in a public place.

Meanwhile, another man, Joshua Wood, 23, of Malvern Road, Scunthorpe, had been charged with threatening with an offensive weapon in a public place in connection with the incident.

Wood had been remanded in custody and was also expected to appear before Lincoln Magistrates' Court on Monday, officers said.

A 26-year-old woman who was previously arrested on suspicion of manslaughter had been released on conditional police bail while investigations continued.
