Lincolnshire Police says a 55-year-old man has been arrested following the incident in Union Street, Market Rasen, on Thursday

A man has died following a suspected stabbing in Lincolnshire, police have said.

Officers were called to Union Street, in Market Rasen, just after 17:00 GMT following reports that a man in his 30s had been found with suspected stab wounds.

Lincolnshire Police said the man later died and a 55-year-old man had been arrested.

The force said there would be increased police presence in the town as their investigation continued.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with footage of the incident to get in touch.
