Further arrests in Market Rasen murder probe

Three people have been arrested following an incident in Union Street, Market Rasen, on Thursday

Detectives investigating the death of a man after a suspected stabbing have made two further arrests.

Officers were called to Union Street, in Market Rasen, just after 17:00 GMT on Thursday, after reports a man in his 30s had been found with suspected stab wounds. He later died, Lincolnshire Police said.

The force said a murder investigation had been launched and a 29-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman have both been arrested on suspicion of murder.

A 55-year-old man was also arrested following the incident and remains in custody.

The area remained cordoned off on Friday with an increased police presence in the town

The force said there would be increased police presence in the town as the investigation continued.

Police have also asked for witnesses or anyone with footage of the incident to get in touch.
