Road shut by council after flood warning issued
GoogleA road has been closed until further notice after the Environment Agency issued a flood warning.
Peterborough City Council shut the North Bank Road, between Northey Road and the Dog-in-a-Doublet Sluice, in Whittlesey near Peterborough.
High water levels in the River Nene were expected to cause flooding from Monday evening, the Environment Agency said.
Alternative routes were available for motorists via the A605 from Whittlesey or the A47 from the Thorney direction, the council added.
