Missing girl, 8, and woman found safe

A woman and a girl reported missing from Reading, Berkshire, have been found, police have said.

Thames Valley Police had previously appealed for information about Sally-Jean, 37, and eight-year-old Ava, who had been missing for three weeks.

They were only reported missing on 15 September, the force said.

A police statement on Saturday said they been found safe and well and thanked people who shared the appeal to help locate them.
