Man accused of firearms offences remanded in custody
National Crime AgencyA man who allegedly bought almost 40 hand guns and more than 1,000 bullets has been remanded in custody ahead of his next court appearance.
Luke Fortune appeared at Bristol Magistrates' Court on Saturday after police found a Glock-style pistol and a revolver hidden in a bush in Longwell Green.
He was charged with eight firearms offences, including two counts of possessing firearms, two of possessing ammunition, one count of converting a firearm, one count of manufacturing a firearm, one count of selling firearms and one count of conspiracy to import firearms.
The 22-year-old, of Mapstone Rise, is due to appear at Bristol Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on 30 March.
