A second teenager has been arrested following the stabbing of a 14-year-old boy in Sheffield last week.

The victim was attacked in Market Square in the Woodhouse area of the city at about 21:50 GMT on Wednesday 18 March. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries but on Sunday police said he was recovering well.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.

Another 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named because of his age, appeared before Sheffield magistrates on Tuesday charged with attempted murder. He was bailed to appear at the city's crown court on 21 April.
