Police are appealing for dashcam footage after a car was reported to be driving the wrong way on a major road.

The black Honda CRV is believed to have been travelling northbound on the southbound carriageway of the A34, between Burghclere in Hampshire and Tot Hill Services in Berkshire, on Tuesday evening.

After narrowly avoiding a number of other vehicles, the SUV was later seen correcting its direction and continuing southbound, according to Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary.

The force is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, thought to have occurred between 22:05 and 22:10 GMT, to come forward.
